"After an unfortunate sewer back-up, our partially finished basement had to be restored. We hired Kris to complete the work for us after receiving a professional recommendation for him. He took our basement from looking like a bit of a dungeon (even before the back-up!) to a bright and welcoming space. He was great at communicating his progress throughout the job and finished on schedule, with great attention to detail. Honestly, after everything that happened with our basement, sewer water and all, we are grateful that Kris came to our rescue and made it look so much better than before. "Kris recently completed the renovation of our ensuite and guest bathrooms. Kris provided an accurate estimate ahead of the job, started on time and completed the project within the estimated timeframe. Our ensuite is relatively small but Kris was able to significantly increase the size in width and height of our shower utilizing wasted space. It’s now the ensuite of our dreams. "We have used Kris on two different projects. The first time in our kitchen and tiling on our main floor and washroom. This was an extensive job that required demolition, removal of walls and installation of tiles, electrical, plumbing etc. Recently he renovated our main floor washroom by removing the tub surround and installing a new bathtub, tiles, drywall and fixtures. On both occasions Kris has always provided excellent work. He shows up everyday and works hard when he arrives and does not leave the place a mess. Kris is very good at his craft and is very easy to work with, you will not be disappointed by hiring him!!"

"First of all Kris was amazing! Back in late June 2023 due to heavy rain in Welland our rental property had sustained significant water damage for our lower tenant. We addressed and solved the water issue and got a restoration team to do the cleanup and setup a clear, clean unit for Kris to do his work. We saw quality work from Kris, he was able to box in a required sump pump we had installed for this basement unit. Kris did all the drywall, install some new cabinets, replaced the flooring and repainted the unit to the way it was. He really and truly brought the unit back to the way it looked prior to the water damage loss. It was such a relief to see it all come together again. He did this well within our budget and within a reasonable amount of time. My sister and I can't thank Kris enough for his help through this process. We give him 5 Stars across the board all day long. Thank you Kris!"

"Kris came and saved us from our nightmare of a situation with our bathroom reno. After several failed attempts with other contractors, Kris was referred to us. He was very quick to respond. He came and assessed our situation within a reasonable time and gave us a fair quote. There was a bit of a wait for him to come and start but he managed to squeeze us in and he got the project done within a good time. "Kris did an amazing job in our total bathroom renovation. He reversed the location of the tub and shower which gave us a lot more room.He also came up with a great solution to updating our aged skylight in there. Kris was always punctual. He arrived each morning on time and worked non-stop until he finished for the day. Kris was mindful of the mess that a reno creates and did everything he could to keep the rest of our house clean.He had good suggestions for us. "Kris renovated our main bathroom and did a fantastic job! He had to replace all the old, 1960's plumbing, which required pulling up all the floor boards due to lack of access from below. He installed new plumbing, a standing shower, separate standing tub, and a new vanity. All of his tiling work was impeccable. He was on time, reliable, and a pleasure to interact with. We will definitely call him for any future work."

"We discovered not long after moving to in our home that the shower in our main bathroom was leaking quite badly. Kris from Straightline renovations came and gave us a quote for removal of the old shower, cleanup and building a new tile shower in the existing space. The work was excellent, done in a timely fashion and the cleanup was done well. "Kris completely renovated my narrow, old bathroom in my 1930s home, and I love it. He did an excellent job. He was able to maintain a couple of things for a vintage look and I consulted with him about the choice of tile for the floor and surround, and materials. He was so helpful and knowledgeable. He is reasonably priced, reliable, efficient, and clean - he cleaned every day and while he was working. I will definitely have him do more work for when I get around to the basement!"

"I’m very glad I was persistent in looking for a general contractor as Kris was good enough to reply to my first email looking for a quote and was gracious enough to provide it; even though he advised he wouldn’t be able to start the work for approximately 3-4 months. He contacted me and stayed in touch closer to the given start date; was punctual, got right to work and kept me informed during the process. He completed everything on time and left the work area as clean and tidy as possible. I am already in the process of scheduling another job with him-he’ll be installing a new deck in my backyard and I’m looking forward to more great work!"

"Kris did a great job fixing up our downstairs powder room. We had a leak in our upstairs bathroom that damaged the ceiling of our downstairs bathroom. We needed someone to replace all the ceiling drywall, fix damaged spots on the walls, and replace the toilet and ceiling fan while they were at it. Even though the job wasn't the biggest, Kris was willing to take it on and did a speedy and thorough job. He arrived each day when he said he would, did a careful job, and stuck to his quoted price despite having to fix a few unexpected things. I will definitely call Kris again for other renovations."

"We hired Kris of Straightline Renovations because he was the only contractor that came in and gave us design ideas that made complete sense for the space. We have an old farmhouse and the bathroom was a disgust with a layout that made no sense and was completely dysfunctional. Kris really knows what he is doing and spent the time to ensure each phase of the project was completed meticulously. His tile work, design and installation is beautiful. It is obvious that Kris is a true craftsman and takes pride in his work! Although the project started a couple days late (which is to be expected in construction), the job was completed on time and on budget according to estimate. I must say I wasn't thrilled with having to go out and source materials but this is the only way you can get what you want. We trusted Kris with the keys to the house and would do so anytime. Not only did he complete the project he was hired for, he also fixed a plumbing drainage issue created by a previous contractor we hired to do the kitchen. There was a minor call-back issue but Kris was quick to respond to rectify the issue. As a result of our excellent experience with Kris, we also hired him to install a laundry sink/cabinet, rough in the laundry plumbing, install baseboards everywhere else and lay tile in the entranceway. Everything was completed beautifully and we would not hesitate to highly recommend him."

"First off I like to comment on how professional Kris is. He set appointment times that were convenient for me and was on time if not early for them. Kris came in under budget and build me a sturdy, great looking fence and gate that is definitely going to last. Then Kris went above and beyond. As it turns out the gate that we both thought, would be large enough to fit a neighbors riding mower through to assist me in cutting my back lawn was not. Once we had found what was done would not work for me Kris later returned. He then turned part of the front fence area into a double gate creating a solution for my problem. Not only did he just charge me cost for the hardware to create the second gate he did not charge me one penny for the extra two hours labour it took him to add the second gate in. I have every intention on his and Kris next summer to complete the remainder of my fence work and also looking to get a quote on a bathroom in a finished basement I’m currently working on. Kris charges reasonable rates for exceptional work!"

"I am happy that I choose Straightline Renovation and Repairs to do our renovations and Fence. Kris provided very fast feedbacks during the estimate and quoting period. He is trustable and helpful. If anything he could not do or do not have enough time to finish, he will tell you ahead. For example, he told me when he did estimate for our renovation that he will not repair any electric issues. However, he could help me contact a qualified electrician to fix those issues. He is self-disciplined. During the renovation period for our house, Kris came at 8 am every day. If he got some other appointments, he notified me ahead. He is very hard-working as well. If he could not complete his plan of the day, he would work on it until he finished up. We were very pleased about his work quality. I believe the price was reasonable with his premium quality!"

"I hired Kris, Straightline Renovations and Repairs about five years ago for a main bathroom remodel. Since then, the work has ascended to completing other rooms in my homes, decks and fencing as well as any referrals I have given out to others. "The house is 1950's complete with that era fixtures and fittings. In the bathroom Kris replaced the vanity and toilet, and installed a storage cabinet. He also removed and replaced the ceramic floor tiles and all the trim and finished by painting the whole bathroom. The plumbing entailed removing parts of the original cast iron and copper piping and reconnecting with updated fittings. Kris also replaced all closet and room doors on the three bedroomed main floor, and painted these. An excellent tradesman that takes pride in his work. He responded with an estimate in a timely manner, and stayed on budget. He is always prompt and gives you an arrival time. If he is going to be delayed he phones to advise."

"My home was built in 1923. I removed many layers of wallpaper in the livingroom and discovered the walls were a mess. I hired Kris to replace, with drywall. 2 plaster walls and a ceiling, and repair the other 2 plaster walls in my livingroom. There were many cracks, holes and crumbling plaster, and nothing was square. The work made the walls straight and smooth and ready for paint---beautiful job. Kris removed, with care, and re-installed all the original trim and woodwork, He kept everything very clean and tidy. The work was done exactly how we discussed and it was finished in the time he quoted. I am very, very pleased with his work. So much so I am hiring him to renovate my bathroom. I am extremely satisfied with the work done in the renovation of my bathroom. Kris did a complete gut of the existing bathroom as well as removing an unused attic staircase to gain more square footage. A very big job! And the end result is amazing-all new plumbing, walls, doors, ceiling, flooring and all fixtures. The tile work is lovely with inlay accent. All work was done on schedule and as quoted. Kris took away all debris and left everything neat and tidy. After all was completed there was a very small plumbing concern which was addressed immediately. This is the third job I have had done by Kris and I highly recommend Straightline Renovations."
